Privacy Policy

Effective 4 October 2026 · Last updated 4 October 2026 (18+ policy)

This policy explains what information Strykee handles, why, who helps us handle it, and the choices and rights you have. It covers the Strykee app for iPhone and Apple Watch, strykee.com and the early access list.

In short

  • Strykee doesn't run its own servers. Your plans stay on your iPhone, and what you share goes through Apple's iCloud.
  • No ads, no tracking across apps or sites, and we never sell your data.
  • You can delete everything from the app at any time.

1. Who we are

Strykee, based in Cairo, Egypt, is responsible for the information described here. Under data protection laws we are the "controller". Contact us at [email protected].

2. What the app handles

Stays on your iPhone

  • Your Strykes, their times, parts, alarms and history.
  • Your settings, your activity list, and people you blocked.
  • Your phone number, if you add one.
  • What you save or open in Explore.

In your iCloud, shared only with people you invite

  • Shared Strykes: the title, time, color, who's in, and each person's status (joined, done).
  • Only the people you invite can see a shared Stryke. You can leave it or delete it at any time.

In Strykee's public iCloud space, so friends can find and invite you

  • Your profile: your name, avatar color, photo (if you add one), whether people may find you by name, and your iCloud user identifier.
  • If you add a phone number: a one-way code made from it (a hash). Friends' Strykee compares it with the numbers in their contacts. Your number itself is never published.
  • Invitations you send: your name and the Stryke's title, time, color and repeat, until they're answered or the Stryke is deleted.

Strykee has no accounts of its own. You're identified through your iCloud account, which Apple provides.

3. Permissions

The app asks first, and you can change any permission later in iOS Settings → Strykee.

  • Location (while using the app): Explore uses it to find places near you through Apple Maps. Strykee doesn't store it or send it anywhere else.
  • Contacts: to pick people to invite. To see whether a contact is on Strykee, the app looks up the one-way code of their number. Their contact details aren't uploaded.
  • Notifications and alarms: reminders and alarms are scheduled on your iPhone.
  • Photos: only the picture you choose for your profile.

4. The early access list

  • What we collect: your email address and, if you give them, your first name and what you're into. We also note which button on the site you joined from and any interests you tapped on the page, so we know what resonates. No cookies are used for this.
  • Why: to tell you when Strykee launches, invite you to early access or the beta, and send a few product updates before launch. Nothing else.
  • Your choice: joining is optional. Withdraw your consent at any time with the unsubscribe link in any email, or by writing to [email protected].

5. This website

  • No cookies, no ads, no tracking across sites, and no third-party fonts or video players. Our videos and photos are served from this site.
  • The site is hosted by Cloudflare. Like every web host, it processes your IP address and basic technical details (such as your browser and device type) to deliver pages and protect the site from attacks.
  • We count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics. It uses no cookies, doesn't identify you, and tells us things like how many people visited, from which country, and which page they came from.
  • The early access button opens a form hosted by Tally (see section 4).

6. When you write to us

If you email us or send a report from the app, we receive your email address, your message and anything you include. We use it only to answer you, handle the report and keep the Service safe. Our email is provided by Microsoft 365.

7. Why we use information (legal bases)

Reports, blocks, support emailsTo answer you and keep people safeOur legitimate interest in a safe service, and your request

8. Who handles information for us

We use a small number of trusted providers. Each one handles information only to provide its service:

  • Apple: iCloud, Apple Maps, push notifications and app distribution, under Apple's own privacy policy.
  • Cloudflare: website hosting, security and cookie-free visit counts.
  • Tally (Tally BV, Belgium): the early access form. Answers are stored in the EU.
  • Microsoft 365: our email.

We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect someone's safety, to enforce our Terms, or as part of a merger or transfer of Strykee. In a transfer, this policy would continue to protect your information.

9. International transfers

Strykee is based in Egypt, and our providers may process information in other countries, including the EU and the United States. When information moves between countries, we rely on the safeguards our providers offer, such as the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. We also rely on the protections required by Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 151 of 2020).

10. How long we keep it

  • App data: until you delete it, delete the app's iCloud data, or delete a shared Stryke.
  • Invitations: until they're answered or the Stryke is deleted.
  • Early access list: until you unsubscribe, or at most 12 months after launch, whichever comes first.
  • Emails and reports: as long as needed to handle them, and then no longer than 24 months, unless the law requires longer.
  • Website logs: kept by Cloudflare for its standard short periods.

11. Security

Your app data is protected by Apple's iCloud security and your device's protections. The website is served only over encrypted connections (HTTPS) with modern security settings. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects you, we'll notify you and the authorities as the law requires.

12. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under Egypt's Personal Data Protection Law and, in the EU and UK, the GDPR), you can ask us to:

  • tell you what information we have about you and give you a copy;
  • correct it, or delete it;
  • limit or object to how we use it;
  • move it to another service, where that's technically possible;
  • withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before.

Write to [email protected]. We may ask you to confirm your identity, and we'll answer within 30 days. Because most app data never reaches us, the fastest way to see or delete it is usually in the app itself.

13. Deleting your data

In Strykee, go to Settings → Privacy → Delete all data. It removes:

  • your profile and the invitations you sent;
  • shared Strykes you set up (they end for everyone);
  • your place in shared Strykes you joined;
  • everything on your iPhone.

You can also remove Strykee's data from iCloud in iOS Settings → your name → iCloud.

14. Adults only (18+)

Strykee is for adults 18 and over. We don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18. If we learn that a profile belongs to someone under 18, we delete the profile and its data. Parents and guardians can ask us to do this by writing to [email protected] with "Underage" in the subject. See our Safety Center.

15. What we never do

  • We never sell or rent your information.
  • We don't show ads or track you across other apps and websites.
  • We don't make decisions about you based only on automated processing.

16. Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes. For important changes, we'll also tell you in the app (Settings → About) or by email before they apply.

17. Contact and complaints

Strykee, Cairo, Egypt · [email protected]

If you're not happy with how we handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to a data protection authority: in Egypt, the Personal Data Protection Center; in the EU or UK, the authority where you live.
