Terms of Use

Effective 4 October 2026 · Last updated 4 October 2026 (18+ policy)

These terms are an agreement between you and Strykee, based in Cairo, Egypt. They cover the Strykee app for iPhone and Apple Watch (including beta versions), strykee.com and the early access list. Together we call these the "Service". By using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't use it.

1. Who can use Strykee

  • Strykee is for adults. You must be at least 18 years old, and old enough to enter a binding contract where you live. By using the Service you confirm that you are.
  • If we believe a user is under 18, we may remove their profile and data without notice. Giving a false age is a breach of these terms.
  • You may not use the Service if the law where you live forbids it, or if we have previously removed your access.
  • Your profile is for you alone. Use your real first name or a name people know you by, and keep your details accurate.

2. Your profile and iCloud

  • Strykee has no passwords of its own. You're identified through your Apple ID and iCloud, which Apple provides.
  • You're responsible for everything done through your profile and for keeping your devices and Apple ID secure. Tell us at [email protected] if you think someone else is using your profile.

3. Your licence to use Strykee

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to install and use the app on Apple devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, under these terms and Apple's App Store rules. We keep all rights we don't expressly give you.

4. Rules for using Strykee

You agree not to:

  • harass, threaten, stalk, bully, intimidate or discriminate against anyone, or encourage violence or hatred;
  • contact, invite, groom or arrange to meet anyone under 18, for any reason;
  • make sexual advances or send sexual content to anyone who hasn't clearly welcomed it;
  • invite people who don't want to hear from you, send spam, or use invitations to advertise or sell without our written permission;
  • pretend to be someone else, or misrepresent who you are or who you're connected to;
  • post or send anything illegal, sexually explicit, exploitative of minors, violent, defamatory, or that infringes someone else's rights;
  • organise or promote anything unlawful or dangerous;
  • collect or misuse other people's information, or contact people in ways they haven't agreed to;
  • copy, scrape, reverse engineer, decompile, or try to get around security, blocks or limits in the Service, or use bots or automated tools against it;
  • interfere with the Service, overload it, or introduce harmful code;
  • make false reports or misuse blocking and reporting.

These rules are explained in our Community Guidelines, which are part of these terms. We may investigate breaches, remove content and limit or end access. We cooperate with law enforcement when the law requires it, when someone's safety is at risk, and always on child safety.

5. Your content

  • What you create in Strykee, such as Stryke titles, your profile name and photo, stays yours.
  • So we can run the Service, you give us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to store, copy, transmit and display your content only as needed to provide the Service. For example, this covers delivering an invitation to the people you chose. The licence ends when you delete the content, except where others already received it or the law requires us to keep it.
  • You confirm you have the right to share what you share, and that it follows these terms.

6. Meeting people and real-world activities

Strykee helps you plan things to do and do them with others. What you do, where you go and who you meet are your choices.

  • You're responsible for your own safety, conduct and interactions with other people, online and in person.
  • We don't run background checks, verify identities, or inspect or approve places, events, hosts or activities. We're not a party to any plan, meeting or arrangement between users.
  • Physical, outdoor and sporting activities carry risk. Check that an activity is right for your health and skills, follow the rules of the place, and take part at your own risk.
  • Meet in public places, tell someone where you're going, and leave if something feels wrong. Report and block anyone who makes you uncomfortable. Our Safety Center has more guidance.
  • Strykee isn't an emergency service. In an emergency, contact your local emergency number.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Strykee isn't responsible for injury, loss, damage or disputes that arise from activities, places, events or meetings you find, plan or join through the Service.

7. Places, events and other services

  • Information about places, opening hours, prices, events and routes comes partly from Apple Maps and other third parties. It can be wrong or out of date, so check before you go.
  • Showing a place or event isn't an endorsement. Any booking, purchase or agreement you make with a third party is between you and them, under their terms.

8. Reminders and alarms

Reminders, alarms, Live Activities and watch alerts depend on your device, its settings and Apple's systems, and may not always fire. Don't rely on Strykee for anything where a missed alert could cause harm, such as medication, travel or work deadlines.

9. Early access, betas and the website

  • Joining the early access list doesn't guarantee access, a launch date, a price or any feature. We may close the list at any time.
  • The website shows what Strykee does and where it's going. Features, availability and regions may change, may still be in development, and may differ between countries and devices.
  • Beta versions (for example through TestFlight) may be unstable or lose data. Unless we say otherwise, please don't share unreleased features or screens publicly.

10. Our name and our work

  • Strykee™, Stryke It™, Stryke™ and the Strykee logo are our trademarks. Don't use them, or any name, logo or design confusingly similar to them, without our written permission.
  • The Strykee app and strykee.com are our work and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. This covers their code, design, screens, text, graphics and features as presented. © 2026 Strykee. All rights reserved.
  • You may not copy, modify, translate, reverse engineer, decompile or scrape the app or the website, or use their content, code or design to build a competing product, except where the law expressly allows it.
  • Photos and videos on strykee.com come from Pexels and are used under the Pexels licence. They belong to their creators.
  • If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them freely, without owing you anything.
  • If you believe something in the Service infringes your rights, write to [email protected] with the details and where it appears. We will enforce our own rights, including in court where needed.

11. Suspending or ending access

  • You can stop using Strykee at any time and delete your data in the app (Settings → Privacy → Delete all data).
  • We may suspend or end your access, remove content, or limit features at any time if you break these terms, if the law requires it, or to protect people or the Service. Where reasonable, we'll tell you.
  • Sections 5 (licence to your content, as described), 6, 10, 13, 14, 15, 17 and 18 continue after access ends.

12. Changes

  • We may change, pause or stop any part of the Service.
  • We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and for important changes we'll also tell you in the app or on this site before they apply. If you keep using the Service after changes apply, you accept them.

13. No warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent the law allows, we make no promises or warranties, express or implied. This includes any about merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, availability, security or non-infringement, and any that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free.

14. Limits on our liability

  • To the fullest extent the law allows, Strykee isn't liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages. This includes lost profits, data, goodwill or opportunities, and anything caused by other users or third parties.
  • Our total liability for all claims about the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50.
  • Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law, such as for fraud or gross negligence, or your mandatory rights as a consumer where you live.

15. Your responsibility for claims

You agree to defend and compensate Strykee for claims, losses, damages and reasonable costs, including legal fees, that arise from your content, your use of the Service, your breach of these terms or the law, or your activities and meetings with other people.

16. Apple

  • These terms are between you and Strykee, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its content.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet a warranty that applies, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any. Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app.
  • Apple isn't responsible for handling claims about the app, including product liability, legal or regulatory claims, consumer protection claims, or claims that the app infringes someone's intellectual property.
  • You confirm you're not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo and you're not on a US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and may enforce them against you. Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

17. Governing law and disputes

  • These terms are governed by the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt.
  • If you have a problem, write to [email protected] first. We'll try to resolve it informally within 30 days.
  • If we can't resolve it, the courts of Cairo, Egypt have exclusive jurisdiction. If you're a consumer living elsewhere, you keep any mandatory protections and rights to go to court that your local law gives you.

18. General

  • These terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Service.
  • If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
  • If we don't enforce a right straight away, we haven't given it up.
  • You may not transfer your rights under these terms. We may transfer ours, for example to a company that takes over Strykee.
  • We're not responsible for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control.
  • If these terms are translated, the English version applies where they differ.
  • We may send notices by email, in the app or on this site.
